The terms for using the PupDuty app.
Website tools
The free schedule and log work without a website account. The schedule arranges the times you enter; age is a label, not a calculation of bladder capacity or a safe waiting interval. It does not provide a complete overnight plan.
The log records what you enter in this browser. Print views use the browser’s print dialog; saving a PDF depends on the print destinations your device offers. These tools do not import records into or synchronize with the app.
Website guides provide general information, not a diagnosis or an individualized care plan. A schedule, log or app estimate must not delay veterinary care. The app terms below govern use of the PupDuty app.
About the app terms
These terms apply when you use the PupDuty app. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where these terms say more, these terms apply.
What PupDuty is
PupDuty is a shared journal for the people who look after one or more puppies. You log potty breaks, accidents, meals, water, sleep and wake times, see who logged what and when, and get an estimate of the next potty break based on your own entries.
Free use
You can log up to ten entries on your iPhone without an account or a purchase. Those entries stay on your iPhone and remain readable if you decide not to buy a plan.
Subscriptions and purchases
- Annual is an auto-renewing subscription. Eligible customers may get a free trial; its length and the price after it are shown in the app and in the App Store before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple account when the trial ends, or immediately if no trial applies.
- Annual renews automatically for the same period at the price shown unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
- Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no trial or renewal. Annual and Lifetime unlock the same features.
- Purchases are made through Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store rules.
- One Annual or Lifetime purchase covers one care team with unlimited puppies: the Owner pays and up to four invited Members join for free.
New Owners purchase access first, then sign in with Apple or Google to link it and bring their local entries into the care team. Invited Members join through a shared invitation link and sign in without purchasing a plan.
Your care team
The Owner decides who joins and can remove people or delete the care team. Everyone in a care team sees the journals, puppy profiles and names for all puppies in that care team. Invite only people you trust with that information. If paid access ends, the care team becomes read-only. Existing entries remain available, and the Owner can still export them.
Your content
You own what you log and the photos you add. You give us permission to store and show them to your care team so the app works. Do not upload content you have no right to share or that is unlawful.
Photos added to a synced puppy profile are stored at public file URLs. Anyone with a file URL can view the processed photo. Only add photos you are comfortable sharing this way. Photos in a local journal are uploaded when that journal joins your household.
Original uploads remain in private storage while they are checked and converted. Only the processed JPEG, with embedded metadata removed, is published. Removing or replacing a photo blocks further access through PupDuty immediately, but a public URL can remain readable until provider removal takes effect. Copies already downloaded by others cannot be revoked.
Not veterinary, medical or training advice
The next potty break estimate is arithmetic on your own entries. It is not a promise and it does not replace a veterinarian or a trainer. You are responsible for your puppy's care.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to access other people's care teams, disrupt the service or reverse engineer it beyond what the law allows.
Ending your use
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Warranty and liability
PupDuty is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version appears on this page with a new date. Continuing to use PupDuty after a change means you accept it.
